SCAM COMMERCIALS
At on point in my life I was considering becoming an attorney. Not necessarily a personal injury attorney or anything like that, they always remind me of those people you see during daytime television with those “if you have been injured” commercials, really sleazy. More like a criminal attorney I was thinking. My mom even set up a meeting with some of the lawyers at her office. She had me come downtown and talk to a few people. I really did not know what to say or ask except, “do you like your job?” and “how was law school?” One lawyer I did appreciate though. He was pretty young, just out of college, and went to the University of Illinois like me. He told me he just took the LSAT because he did not know what else he wanted to do, stuck it out through law school and now he had a pretty good paying job. I think the down side to that though, is that he did not look exactly thrilled to be there. He told me that I have to be sure it was something I wanted to do or I would be miserable all through school. I still decided to give it a shot, but the fact that I over slept twice for the LSAT led me to believe it was not for me.
