MUSIC AND PICTURES
Well, day three of my data storage solution project and I still can’t seem to get the ftp side of my new website/online hard drive working right. I called GoDaddy and they were happy to take back my domain, so long, and refund me the hosting charges. I caught wind of a service while reading another blog about a site called Xdrive. It is run by AOL and is free. When I set out I had no hope of finding a free service, but this seemed promising. It was the same space I was getting at GoDaddy, but for free. I didn’t have my website, but the thing was free – I wont have to be asking for refunds anymore while I try to figure this thing out with this whole data storage solution thing. They have some nice features, automatic back up and things like that, but I can’t but help wondering what the hell it is I’m going to back up that is less than 5 gigs? I think my documents folder is more than that, Lord knows my pictures folder is, and I won’t even talk about my music. Another part of my problem was I wanted to be able to share my stuff with people, not my music mind you, that would be stealing and I cannot let what was acquired in ways most would describe as illegitimate ways is stolen. I do take a lot of pictures however and while this data storage solution is great, and FREE, it doesn’t really help me share my pictures or writing in anyway I really feel good about.
